David Aguilar Camaño
I would like to give you a warm welcome to the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work at the University of Lleida. Our faculty has the vocation of being a fundamental piece in the University of Lleida (UdL). Its mission within the institution is to serve society with regard to initial, continuing and permanent education of Early Childhood Education and Primary School teachers as well as social educators, social workers, psychopedagogists and psychologists.
Currently, the faculty hosts a staff of near of 300 attached professors, more than 2,400 students and 14 employees in administration and services. These students, representing 25% of the students at UdL are divided into seven degrees, including two dual degrees, a dual Primary Education Degree and a Degree in English bilingual Primary School Education, six master’s degrees and three interuniversity degrees. We are pioneers in starting up innovative education proposals and modalities such as the Degree in Bilingual Primary Education, the Degree in Dual Primary Education, where our students conduct 40% of their classroom activities in school contexts, as well as the dual Degree in Primary Education and Early Childhood Education or Primary Education and Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. It has more than 80 agreements with universities around the world to study abroad for teaching or training, which grows year after year. Research and the transfer arising from this research allow us to participate in both nationally and internationally development networks.
