What is UdLxTothom?

The UdLxTothom Program is part of the services that the UdL offers to the entire university community: students, administrative and service staff, and teaching and research staff. It is attached to the Coordination for Social Commitment, Equality, and Cooperation and is managed within the University Information and Guidance Unit. Its goal is to promote the participation and inclusion of people with functional diversity, based on the principles of equal opportunity, inclusion, and social responsibility.

For teaching staff: how to make teaching more accessible

Our university is receiving an increasing number of students from vulnerable groups, making university classrooms more diverse than ever. The 21st-century university must be able to guarantee the full inclusion of these groups, not only in terms of access and presence in degree programs but also regarding success in their higher education journeys. This challenge involves transforming university teaching through universal design. This means facilitating access for all students, especially those considered part of vulnerable groups (learning difficulties, disorders, and other conditions), thereby reducing the need for specific support measures for these groups.

Below, we present a practical guide based on a set of infographics and educational video clips for university teaching staff, designed to facilitate the task of implementing universal design in their subjects.
